    As a variable hour, temporary or employee hired to work less than 6 hours in a day, you do not qualify for benefits, BUT you are offered the opportunity to purchase health insurance for you and your eligible children.
    If you elect coverage, you must do so within 30 days of your hire/qualifying date. 
    In the below package you will find forms that need to be completed if you elect coverage. Turn in the necessary forms to the Benefits desk at the District Office. If you are adding dependents to your plan please include the following:
    Child: a copy of every child's birth certificate or adoption paperwork
    Once you have completed the forms you may drop off the documents Monday - Friday between 8:00am- 4:30pm.

    ***Remember as a Palmdale School District employee you do not pay into state disability. Please look at the voluntary deductions for more information on disability options, long-term care, and additional life insurance.***
