From the Desk of the Director, Dr. Donna Lebetsamer
Welcome to Palmdale School District’s Early Childhood Education program. I am excited to have the opportunity to be the Director of this amazing program. I have worked for the Palmdale School District for more than two decades. I was originally hired to be a Kindergarten Teacher at Joshua Hills School. I later became a Curriculum Resource Teacher and Administrative Intern for Joshua Hills where I served on various curriculum committees and began providing Professional Development for PSD teachers. In 2006, I was given the opportunity to become the Assistant Principal at Ocotillo School where I served for 2 years. I also spent a year at Cactus Intermediate School as the Assistant Principal. In May of 2009 I was named the Principal of Quail Valley Elementary School. I made QV my home for almost seven years before joining the Early Childhood Education team.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a clear multiple subject teaching credential. I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Ph.D in School Administration with an emphasis on early education. I also hold a California clear administrative credential.
Joining the Early Childhood Education team has been a dream come true. I am privileged to work with the most loving and dedicated group of professionals in our district. Together, we are working to insure that your child receives the best foundation, to spark a love for learning, and to promote school readiness all to prepare your child for his/her educational journey.
