I would like to take this time to welcome all of you wonderful Roadrunners back to school. I trust that all of you are enjoying the time off and the wonderful weather we’ve been so fortunate to have this spring!
My first day back from spring break, I was greeted by happy children at the front gate… mind you this was 7:15 in the morning. Please understand the doors to our school open at 7:45 AM. I know that some of us work down below and have to leave at 7:15 AM or earlier. For the safety of your child, please find a neighbor, friend, or family member who would watch your most precious possession until 7:45.
Parents, our PTA is in need of your help. We have fundraisers to run, money to collect, pictures to hang up and classes to visit. Volunteering sends a powerful message, “We Value Education” to our children. So, on a day that is going slow, come to Desert Rose and help our PTA.
In a month our children will be taking the California Standards Test. To help parents understand what this test encompasses our teachers will be offering a CST Workshop. Flyers for this workshop will be coming out next week along with tips on how we all can help our children successfully take the CST test.
Thank you,
Sergei Orloff
