The Head Start program is run by the Palmdale School District under the supervision of a director. There are assistant principals who visit the school sites and assist teachers and parents when needed. The program also has an education coordinator, parent involvement facilitator, a mental health/social services facilitator, a registered nurse and licensed vocational nurses (LVN’s), a school psychologist, a registered dietician and an Early Head Start manager. The Family Community Liaisons (FCL’s) and Child Development Liaisons (CDL’s) assist the teachers and families to meet the needs of all children.
