TUTORIALS

First Sign Into Google

Students must sign into their Google account before they can do anything. If they have a Chromebook from school they can skip this step. Otherwise, please sign in by using the ID number they received from their teacher followed by @palmdalesd.org. The student's password is going to be their birthday without any forward slashes. If you need additional help turn to Resources.

Expectations for Students / Parents

Students should log in to each of their Google Classrooms and Classlink applications on a daily basis.

Students will need to complete all required assignments and submit these as directed by their teacher.

Students should watch the videos posted each week in their entirety.

Students are to respect our Distance Learning by following the chat room’s norms.

Be a learning Coach!

Parents must take on the role of a learning coach because they are the adult in the home who assists the student with completing their daily tasks. The amount of assistance depends on the student's grade level and the student's ability to complete work independently.

The School Learning Coach will be actively involved with the student spending a couple of hours each day. During a typical week, the Learning Coach will:

Assist with lessons

Monitor comprehension

Communicate with teacher

K12 Stride (6th-8th Grade)
