2nd Grade

Welcome to International Baccalaureate-IB second grade! It is a pleasure to have your children in second grade this school year. We are looking forward to a happy, rich, and rewarding year filled with enthusiasm, commitment, and learning. We will have an excellent year!

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The IB program encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

The rules of our classroom reflect the district’s BEST behavior policy and our IB program. The basic guidelines are Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful. This also ties into our anti-bullying program.

Our classes will maintain an atmosphere that is quite enough for concentration, and a focus on inquiring, thinking, student agency, and creativity. Please support your children by having them come to school on time each day, having positive attitudes, being enthusiastic, and being ready to learn all they can each day. We have high expectations for student commitment to learning and self-discipline.
