Work Orders

A:  Each school site has a designated staff member that has access to School Dude, which is the software used to enter work orders.

A:  Work orders are prioritized and then scheduled.  The highest priority work orders are in these four categories:

  1. Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  2. Plumbing
  3. Eletrical
  4. Door Hardware. We estimate 3-5 days but the time frame may vary given our workload. 

Vandalism:

A: In the Maintenance and Operations folder on the PSD Website, there is a fomr for reporting property loss/vandalism. Send the form to Maintenance and Operations, Attention: Marie Kaiser.

Facilities Projects:

A:  A project involves a scope of work beyond routine maintenance which requires long-term planning and funding approval. Typical facilities project requests include:

  1. Floor covering repair/replacement
  2. Painting
  3. Electrical and communication systems
  4. Classroom lighting
  5. Roofing
  6. Plumbing
  7. HVAC
  8. Wall systems
  9. Paving

On the PSD website in the Facilities folder, there is a Project Request Form. Complete and send the form to the Facilities Department, Attention: Felicia Sexton.

Grounds:

A: On the PSD website in the Maintenance folder, there is a Mow schedule and Planter/Ornamental schedule. There is one staff member designated for field mowing and one staff member designated for planter/ornamental care. In additions, there are three teams of four grounds staff members supporting 13 school sites for an array of tasks which include pruning trees, trimming shrubs, irrigation, drainage, checking for safety hazards, etc. A monthly historical of their activities is forwarded to each school site administrator.
