Assistant Principal

Hello Golden Poppy Grizzlies,

 

My name is Ka’Sheika Perkins, Assistant Principal this school year at Golden Poppy.  I am ecstatic to be returning to Golden Poppy in this capacity and excited to begin journey as an instructional leader in Palmdale School District.

 

Golden Poppy first welcomed me as a classroom teacher in 2007, for nine years.  I went on to work as a middle school math teacher, Learning Support Teacher in both elementary and middle schools, and as a Literacy Coach in middle school. 

 

Over my educational career, I have attained an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. 

 

I look forward to supporting and leading our staff and students in fulfilling Golden Poppy’s Vision: to provide our students with a rigorous standards-based education, a nurturing learning environment, and positive attitudes in order to build a solid foundation for success in the 21st Century.
