School Principal

Hello, my name is Melissa Contri, and I am honored to serve as a Principal in the Palmdale School District. I have been a part of the Palmdale School District family for several years, and it has been an enriching experience. I am a native of Southern California and currently reside in Los Angeles County. I grew up in La Verne and attended schools in the Bonita Unified School District. After completing my high school education at Bonita High School, I earned my undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies from the University of La Verne. Later, I pursued my Master's in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix and completed my Administrative Services Credential from the University of La Verne. I have been working in the field of education for many years now. Before joining the Palmdale School District, I worked at Whitcomb Continuation High School, where I taught 11th and 12th-grade students. This academic year, I am excited to work with the students, families, staff, and the amazing community that makes David G. Millen Magnet Academy an outstanding school.
