Assistant Principal

Hello! My name is Paula Saavedra, and I am an assistant principal for David G. Millen Magnet Academy. I am excited to be here getting to know the David G. Millen community and working with staff, families, and our amazing students!

 

My education includes a B.A. in Spanish from UCLA, go Bruins! I am fully bilingual. I also have a Masters degree in Education from UCLA as well as a Masters degree in Administration from CSUN.

I started my career in education as an elementary classroom teacher. I was a classroom teacher for 13 fun years, then became a teacher specialist and an administrator. I have been an administrator in public schools for 10 years. I have served as both an Assistant Principal and Principal at the middle school and elementary school levels.

 

My education and experience have led me to my philosophy of education which is that every student is capable of success when given the right support and tools. I will work to provide each of our students with the support they need to be their best and attain success that will lead them to a positive future.
