Director of Community Schools
Dr. Regina Tillman has been an administrator in Palmdale School District for 12 years. She became an administrator after gaining 13 years teaching experience working with diverse populations and learners in the urban cities of Monrovia, Compton, Dallas, and Palmdale. In her 26 years as an educator, she has grown to learn that the most important thing in an organization is building relationships that promote collaboration, trust, and respect.
Dr. Tillman is known in her field for making a positive impact on the lives of the children and families she serves. Through her leadership she has helped others in her organization see their leadership potential, and has assisted many stakeholders; through empowerment and collaboration, in helping children see their own potential and dreams, and as a Reading Specialist teaching students to live up to their full potential. She is a member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), National Association of Black School Educators (NABSE) and California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA).
Dr. Tillman received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from California State University Dominguez Hills and Dominguez Hills awarded her with a Masters of Art degree in Education with an emphasis in Administration. She also holds a Reading Specialist Teaching Certificate from USC. She currently holds a Doctoral degree in Educational Organization with an emphasis on Transformational Leadership from Bradman University.
Dr. Tillman is a native of Southern California, Mother of three beautiful children, Thema, I’frica, and Raashid.
