School Principal

Greetings Dos Caminos Families,

 

My name is Dr. Sarah Zepeda and I have the privilege of serving as the proud Principal of Dos Caminos Dual Language School.

 

I grew up in Torrance but have lived in Palmdale for 30 years. I received my Bachelors of Arts Degree from Mount St. Mary’s University in Business Finance. I went on to receive my Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Bakersfield. In addition, I earned a doctorate degree in education from the University of Southern California. My area of research focused on building academic vocabulary for English language learners.

 

My passion is being in an educational environment. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 8th grades. I have served on several committees with the State of California that focus on English learners. I have also had the pleasure of being a BTSA mentor and a master teacher.

 

At Dos Caminos Dual Immersion School we are privileged to learn two languages. We aspire to maintain and support the mission and vision of the Palmdale Promise – “Ensuring that all our students are prepared for success in the global 21st century world.”
